Salcet was established in 2005 in response to the emergency and long term rehabilitation needs of children damaged by earthquakes and othernatural disasters in El Salvador and other vulnerable countries.
Trust Statement
The relief of poverty, sickness, and distress and the preservation of good health of children and their relatives who are suffering as a result of earthquakes or any other natural disaster in El Salvador and other vulnerable countries. Medical and humanitarian relief are offered including to chronic disasters, through whatever cause, resulting in poverty with appropriate follow up and monitoring.
Dr Chris Jagger MBE, the Chairman, and Steve Snelling provided emergency medical relief during the earthquakes of January and February 2001 in El Salvador. He and the team have been revisiting damaged areas on an annual basis.
