Update from El Salvador

Funds donated by SALCET have enabled improvements to be made to a project in El Rendentor to improve security:

We have also received the following update from Carlos Gomez in relation to his project:

“Thank you for partnering with us in the past and for the financial support that your organization provided toward a 12 m retaining wall. Once the retaining wall was built we were able to install a battery of 4 restrooms and continue to work on our second classroom of our community center.

Thanks to having a property and a building we have been able to reach three communities and villages in our area.

We are witness of what God is doing in the life of people in the community especially in the life of the youth. Our goal is to empower the children and youth with skills and tools that would allowed for them to have greater opportunities in life so that they may not get trapped in gangs or criminal activities.

At this moment we are focusing our effort in three projects
1) Teaching children from 7 to 15 how to speak English as a second language
2) Mentoring 200 teenager at our local school
3) Providing bible studies in our communities”
