A community affected by recent landslides following torrential rain. The SALCET visit included a procession from the Mayor’s band; a demonstration of music lessons, karate lessons and craft. SALCET then held a clinic for the community.
On this trip, SALCET has now seen 234 patients (82 children and 152 adults), given out 50 pairs of reading glasses and referred 33 people to an eye charity for further treatment.
The team are now travelling to a remote mountain area (Estancia) for the weekend to hold clinics there.
