SALCET has won a grant from DLA (Discovering Latin America: http://www.discoveringlatinamerica.com/ ) to fund the provision of a sewage and drainage system for San Carlos community centre and the wider community in San Carlos on the northern outskirts of San Salvador. This will address the problem of existing open sewers and associated health problems.
SALCET was shortlisted from 50 applicants and, at the DLA annual general meeting on 19th June, received the largest number of votes.
SALCET is delighted to have received the grant which will benefit over 200 people in San Carlos.
