San Carlos Community House was officially opened on Saturday 13th February, the anniversary of the second major earthquake in 2001. Speeches were given by members of the community and by Dr Chris Jagger on behalf of SALCET. Dr Jagger enjoyed cutting the ribbon and testing the acoustics with some songs before a celebratory lunch! The community are proud of their construction work and v erygrateful for the funding which has allowed it to take place. The building is designed to be earthquake resistant and is a valuable facility for the community.
